Why am I talking about Tricuspid Valve Regurgitation (TVR)?

TVR has been ignored, misdiagnosed, and misunderstood for too long. I talk about it because I lived through the silence. I almost died in it.

Telling my story gives purpose to the pain. It turns the worst chapter of my life into a lifeline for someone else.

The more we speak up, the harder we are to ignore.So I’ll keep talking—until everyone living with TVR knows they’re not invisible.Because silence never saved anyone. But stories? They do.

💤 I was beyond tired—no amount of sleep could touch it

😮‍💨 Breathing was a chore, even just sitting still

🧍‍♀️ I needed help with the most basic tasks

💔 I was missing out on the moments that used to make life worth living

—I was placed on hospice in 2019 with no treatment options left. But in 2021, a clinical trial and the EVOQUE valve gave me more than survival—they gave me a second chance.

Today, life looks completely different.

☀️ I have energy to move through the day—and actually enjoy it

💨 I can breathe without fear or struggle

👐 I’ve regained my independence

❤️ I’m reconnecting with people and with purpose
