Growing Our Roots: A Note on HeartBridge Collective’s Next Chapter

As we get ready to celebrate our first birthday on May 14th, I’ve been doing a lot of thinking.

We’ve spent the last year proving that a patient-led movement is exactly what this industry needs. But to make sure HeartBridge Collective (HBC) is here for the long haul, I’m making a deliberate choice to shift our focus inward for a few months.

Think of it as a "Power-Up" phase. We are strengthening our foundation so we can show up even stronger for the community in Year Two.

Focusing on What Matters

Advocacy is hard work, and doing it right means building something that won't burn out. To serve you at the scale I know we can reach, we are taking this time to:

• Make it Sustainable: Developing a roadmap that keeps us healthy and active for years to come.

• Build the Engine: Setting up the behind-the-scenes systems we need to support more patients and caregivers globally.

• Lead the Way: Formalizing how we bring patient voices into the rooms where big healthcare decisions are made.

Moving the Needle, Together

This is about creating a new way for us to lead. By taking the time to get our "house in order" now, we’re making sure that when we relaunch, we have the momentum to truly change the industry for the better.

We’re doing the heavy lifting behind the scenes now so we can move the needle for our community in Year Two. It’s about building a stronger foundation for a louder voice.

What’s Coming Up Next

I’m not going anywhere, and neither is HBC. We have some big milestones on the horizon:

• May 14th: Our One-Year Anniversary. I’ll be sharing a look back at everything we’ve achieved together this year.
