AI Mapped My Heart—But My Doctor Saved it!

Data Shapes the Plan. Doctors Shape the Outcome.
AI helped map my heart during my EVOQUE valve procedure—but it didn’t save my life. My doctor did.
The EVOQUE valve is one of the newest options for people with tricuspid valve disease. It’s placed through a catheter instead of open-heart surgery, and AI plays a key role in making it possible. AI imaging created a 3D map of my heart, guided the placement, and supported my doctors in real time.
But here’s the truth: AI didn’t make the life-or-death decisions. My care team did. They explained the risks, reassured me when I was scared, and used their hands and hearts to get me through.
That’s why this stat rings true:
🔹 Only 27% of people trust AI with their medical data.
🔹 74% trust their doctor.

Maybe the question isn’t “How do we make patients trust AI?” It’s “How do we keep patients at the center while AI works quietly in the background?”
Here’s what that means to me:
1️⃣ Doctors stay in the driver’s seat.
2️⃣ Patients get results in plain language, not tech talk.
3️⃣ Be transparent about what data is used and who sees it.
4️⃣ Human connection comes first—always.
5️⃣ AI should be the helper, not the star.
Because at the end of the day it’s not about data. It’s about people.❤️🩹
👉Would you feel safer if AI helped guide your care or does real trust still belong in the hands of your doctor?
